You guys like the Island perimeter don't you..take a look at how much the core has sufered all these years because of "the brothers". Tell them that we'll be back some day and re-clame what they took at gun point one night, yes we don't forget, and no it was not "sold" but stollen! You guys from the north have filll in the gap very nicely I have to say, enjoy it while you can.. you know.. things don't last forever so buena pesca and leave some for "seed" then go home. Trust me, just because you take a ton of pictures of yourself with undersize dead fish it does not represent the hole picture of how overfished the island is today in general. There is a reason why you find the cuban fishing fleet fishing in other nearby places like Mexico and many others places in Central and South America. You can blame that too on "the brothers" as they striped as much as there was from every corner of that beautiful island. It is very sad to see what the inland small towns look like today and what they used to be before the brothers, yes they were poor, but at least there were people, kids, families, hope and yes there was even toilet paper.

I miss working out of Guantanamo. I was deployed there may time over about 20 years. Although I was restricted I where I could dive, what I saw was amazing. I really want to run my boat down from the keys to Havana. My grand parents told me awesome stories about going there in the 1950s.

You'r right while noticing how many spots close to cuban cities area get outfished by local spearos (pretty deep) in particular and how cuban longline fishing has for years been cleaning pelagic offshore...
