Beginner looking for NE spots

I’m new to the spearfishing world and looking for beginner spots. I’ve lived in NE my whole life, currently in NH. From scouring the forums I’ve heard of a few spots in RI and MA. Any beginner spots in NH/ME?
I’d like to start with shore entry, but I do have kayaks and a boat.

I recommend using this tool to find good structure to dive and find spots:

The highest resolution you'll get of the bottom is deselecting everything and selecting only "BAG color shaded relief". Areas with lots of variety in the topography, as well as ledges and rock piles in otherwise isolated areas are all places that will hold fish. Try looking at the tip of either cove at fort wetherill (a relatively popular spot for all forms of diving) in Jamestown RI to get an idea of what some good structure looks like. You can overlay a nautical chart when at the appropriate zoom level for the chart so that you can see rough depth samplings to make sure the locations are within your wheelhouse.

Kings beach in RI is a good shore dive.

New Hampshire has some great diving from shore. There are lots of spots to find stripers as the water warms up. Not too many tog up there. The bass come in shallow-10-20' of water, or less. At high tide you can find them cruising the channels in the rockweed. If you move very slowly and quietly, you will have a better chance at shooting one. Another nice thing up there is that there are quite a few free access spots along the coast.
