I sewed a powerhead holder on my vest pocket. Holds 4, made of elastic. Easy access for quick deployment in case of greysuits. Have not lost one yet, unlike when I kept them in my wetsuit sleeve.
I also like a crotch strap. Seems to keep everything in its place irregardless of attitude, boyancy, tank size, etc.

PH holder

Neoprene works extremely well for holding PPD's. It does not lose elasticity at all. As for the different sizes, you could have a 4 PH holder attach to the BC using a heavy velcro patch and offer several size options that could attach to the velcro area. As for a name, I like 'Zeagle Stalker" or "Zeagle Silent Hunter"
Thanks -Josh

I followed Ray Odor's suggestion and vacuum seal my Ray Odor Popper. A watertight, easily accesible, pocket/sleeve would be great for storing a PH.

I showed Capt. Gene my first PoD Pocket today, and he made a couple of nice suggestions, so I am in process of doing a second version now...

I will try to get a couple of pictures up by the end of the week...

I was thinking about calling it the "Spearboard Pocket" but since it is basically for holding powerheads and ammo, I thought PoD (Pocket of Death) would be a cooler name!! Any thoughts????

Scott, When I was on Chad's boat earlier in the year he had a prototype BC that had an intgegrated inflator hose that was out of the way. I really liked the idea of this and was wondering if you would consider perfecting that design to work into futire BC's. It's nice not having the hose flop around and it was always staionary by the rip cord...or thereabouts.

Just a thought!

Yes, Biggs, we are looking at that - it just needs to "look" better. It really does WORK well but, I'm sorry to say, working well does not equal sales. If I hit the lotto soon, we will make ugly BCs that work GREAT!!!

Well looking forward to it when you get it looking pretty, because the concept is awesome. I will make this guarantee to you. I will go buy one to go along with my dive rite and (as Chad put it) my circa 1980's zeagle i got when i was 15 ( actually got it 1989). I ony got rid of it because I had outgrown it. If it has a pull dump valve, I am sure it would work great!

The more I think about it, the more I like simply the Zeagle Hunter.

If it is going to be geared toward spearfishing and you are looking at places to carry PHs like a shooting vest. Just call it the marksman.

How about naming it Spearo? I think people will know its a BC designed for spearfishing then...

Make the BC lightweight and easy to move around in. Its complicated spearing with a bulky BC. Also, be careful about putting too many features on it. Focus on the necessites.. having rings for lights, stringers, bags, floats and so forth means the diver will be swimming around with all kinds of crazy things floating from his BC. An enclosed pocket could work.

Paul, why would your wife have my testicle???

Spear - I think the BC is basically done. Now I am looking to add enough space to add 37 safety devices...
(See the "Open Water" thread if you don't get that little joke)
