Speedy, do you mean to say this vest you use is made for the navy or for sailing enthusiasts? Where could I look at a few?

The FRV Mark II is currently $1500 on the website, (and they're a sponsor of Spearboard to boot.) I believe, back when the MK II came out, that Mr. Maas mentioned that this second iteration of the vest was simpler in design AND cheaper than the first. ___________ EDIT: Tired. Got on my high horse. Realized I was partly responding to comments made over a year ago. Ne'ermind. Last edited by Chuuken; 09-05-2013 at 11:10 PM. |

Re: The freediver's safety vest--IT'S ABOUT TIME!
I'll second Phil on that one. The MK 3 is amazing. It didn't even take this user 10 minutes to forget it was there, I never think about it once I strap it on. The only time I realize it's there is when I watch videos after the fact and notice I was wearing it. For the amount of money the typical spearo spends on guns, gear, gas, not to mention a boat, it would be foolish (IMHO) to ever make another dive without one.

I will be the third - really slim have tried to have it activate in various conditions - works perfectly every time.
It's also clear a lot of thinking went into the design, and that it is a mature product worth every penny. Can't thank Terry enough. Naisan |

Could use a little help promoting this World Spearfishing Event. Our US team still has opening for women and Juniors and Masters 60+ But our foreign divisions have lots of opening. Please review the web site above and call me with any questions I really appreciate the help in passing this on Mike McGuire 970-216-5902 |

I respect your wish to promote the event, but do you really think spamming each and every thread in each and every part of the forum with it will help?

Mike, I left up some of them as I know what a great proponent of spearfishing competitions and good guy you are. Is there a master thread you started on this event? Send me a PM to discuss promotion ideas. Thanks, Tony |

Re: The freediver's safety vest--IT'S ABOUT TIME!
Well since this thread came up anyways, may as well give another bump for the FRV. My new MK3 continues to be flawless and I use it once a week on average. I throw it on even when I'm not going deep. It's so "invisible", there's no point leaving it at home. Would continue to highly recommend to everyone.
