Freedive Shops in Monterey?
In the bay area, there isn't much dive shops that carry freedive gear. Wallins used to, but now, they don't have much stuff- their open cell is one type of Mares, and as for fins, Mares fins.
Don't have anything against (or for) Mares, but just would like to visit a shop where I can try on different types of LONG FINS. Heading out to Monterey soon- wanted to see if you guys know a shop in Monterey that carries a variety of LONG FINS, like Picasso, Omer, Cressi, etc. |

Re: Freedive Shops in Monterey?
There is a place in Pacifica that has some freedive stuff. Also, if you are going north for abs, stop off at bodega pro.

Re: Freedive Shops in Monterey?
I was there a few months ago and they have a few pairs of Cressi 3000 garas, that's it. It is difficult for them to keep up a big freedive inventory because it hardly moves.

Re: Freedive Shops in Monterey?
Glenns Aquarius at the breakwater has been carrying some freedive products from the Feedive Shop in Sacramento. Glenn may be able to set you up.
Be safe

Re: Freedive Shops in Monterey?
This is true with just about any dive shop now. As far as trying them, you might be SOL. just buy some and if you hate them, theres always craigslist

Don't get confused by the other Aquarius on Del Monte, the non-spearo shop. Glenn's Aquarius II is at the harbor.
Of course the best selection on site, is the Freedive Shop in Sac. Worth the trip! |

Re: Freedive Shops in Monterey?
I gotta say X2 for the Freedive Shop in West Sac.
I've never seen so much freedive hunting gear in a shop so far from the ocean before. They have more stuff than Maui Sporting Goods did the last time I was on the Island. If you're coming to the valley, give them a call and make sure they're gonna be open. http://freediveshop.com/
