Crystal Clear Water - Pole spearing in the Bahamas

Some shots from a week long trip to Long island Bahamas.

Most of us were using the MAKO spearguns carbon fiber pole spear. I configured mine with the roller butt and also a hand strap and a load assist hook.

I use an SP-3 Break away tip and the whole package is very nice. Powerful and fast and the CF spear is very tough.

Thanks, we had a great trip, very good conditions and got in as much diving as I could handle. We never saw any really big groupers, but we ate like kings every night.

FYI, there were 50 lb cubera (2-3) under the boat docks, schooling with about 8-10 sharks.
