Anyone diving Monterey/Carmel tomorrow?

trick or treat?

i've been diving around northern big sur and carmel past few months, but tomorrow's forecast is nudging me towards shore diving at otter cove or stillwater.

looking mostly to shoot hole fish- 25-50ft in/around kelp beds.

anyone looking to get out and want a buddy? i'm 99% heading out there tomorrow

Re: Anyone diving Monterey/Carmel tomorrow?

Hello,

Yeah I was just there in that area today. Swell is way to much. Not worth going.
Looks like the swells will increase in size for the next 20 days out up to 15ft.
No breuno.

Re: Anyone diving Monterey/Carmel tomorrow?

yeah it's high today but saturday is suppose to be calmer...

plus at stillwater and lover's point/otter/pacific grove, seemed like they're not too affected by swells.

i'm just looking at these and thought saturday would be a good time to dive those particular spots:

did you end up diving? which area specifically? entry/exit pretty rough? visibility? as long as entry/exit points are safe and vis is decent, i don't mind going up and down due to swell

Re: Anyone diving Monterey/Carmel tomorrow?

I have an area you have to hike to pass yankee point about 4 miles.

didn't get in. Slept on the beach for a few hours to see if it calmed a bit. Didn't

I thought you couldn't hunt at lovers point only beyond it. The winds for that area being north winds, should not effect it as much. But anytime after 10 am on sat will be 4ft swell, just like today. I am game maybe. I dunno
