Question Cape Coral/Bimini Basin

Anyone ever try to spear here? My friend lives on Bimini canal and he has pulled some real nice fish out of here on hook and line. 35lb black drum, big sheepies, mangos, even caught a 6 ft sawfish! The vis is pretty good during the winter, though I might give it a try.
