knife straps
I've got a wenoka squeeze lock knife:
http://www.leisurepro.com/Catalog.as...ock&DescSort=0 and I'm looking for a good set of straps for it. I'd like o fasten it to my forearm or upper arm. Any suggestions ? Anybody used these riffe ones ? https://www.flfreedivers.com/store/p...cg20q33n4u67l7 Thanks. |

I don't know man, but I have that same knife, just the bigger version and the straps that came with it started to dry rot after only a couple dives. So I will be needing some straps soon to.

Re: knife straps
I've been using a pair of those Riffe forearm straps for many years to hold the knife on my forearm (surprise!) and I think they are great. They are much stretchier than typical rubber straps, so I can snap the buckles closed, then push the knife up over my hand onto my arm rather than having to try to connect the buckles with one hand.
When I first saw them, I assumed they wouldn't last long, but they have. They are finally getting a little tired though and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get a new pair. I'm glad to see that Riffe still sells them. |

Re: knife straps
Knife straps are a problem for me as well. I'm on my third set, which are the best I've used so far but far from optimal. Try taking your knife to you local dive shop and ask if you can thread them and get a feel for them before you buy.

Re: knife straps
I have the same knife, but I attached it to my BC inflator/deflator hose with tie wraps. It works great there because I can see it really well when taking it out, or even more important, when putting it back in the sheath. I can see that it is locked in. I also have a larger knife strapped to my calf, but I use the smaller one on the inflator hose most of the time because it is faster and easier to get in and out.
