Tohatsu 90A Starts, revs up to 3000 rpm then stalls
I just went through my Tohatsu 90 and installed new base gasket, head gasket, water jacket gasket, exhaust gaskets, new lower crank seal, rebuilt carbs (with new carb kit), rebuilt the fuel pump, new plugs, new t stat, new water pump. When I put everything back together it starts right up, revs to 2500 or more and then stalls.
Compression is good (105 cold and even with throttle in neutral). Gas is fresh. I checked my coils and it look like I have one dead one. I have ordered a new one but I am having a hard time believing this would cause it to rev up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Rob |
