Rob Allen float flag rig?
Anyone know the size of the female thread fitting for the flag on a Rob Allen hard float? I’m trying to find a way to rig it up and the 1/2” threaded PVC from the hardware store isn’t it.

Re: Rob Allen float flag rig?
If you are interested, give me a day or so and I will look through my spares box as I could have a spare adapter. I am sure I have seen one there somewhere.

Awesome! Thanks! I am about to resort to taking the thing into the hardware store and let them find something that’d fit. |

The new ones are 18mm with a 2mm thread pitch.

Re: Rob Allen float flag rig?
JetBoy,
I found a spare plug. Its a black male threaded plug with a extra small hole for the flag pole. If you cannot find one locally to match Rob's specifications, PM me with your address and I will send it USPS fixed rate. Consider it a Xmas gift. Be Safe Out There. Mike. PS if you are close to LA did you try the Freedive Shop? Greg/Vanessa should have them in stock as well. |

Re: Rob Allen float flag rig?
Pleasure Rob.
Give my regards to Jeremy and the other old-fart spearos, too numerous to mention. Rob, Oops, I have a feeling that I may have sent the wrong plug! I have at least 3 * different series of the RA hard floats in my collection. The original PVC covered hard float and then 2 * foam blown floats, one is cylindrical and the other is a flattened cylinder. The plug I sent is for the completely circular hard float, as opposed to the latest flattened float. Did they have the same thread for the flag pole? Thanks Mike.
