Re: Video of our trips out for ARS and gags
Damn nice!
What is up with that bottom w/ all the holes. It looks like a very old shipwreck. That was some great footage looking upward. I wish Ii had a camera one time early daylight in blue water on a wreck in about 90'. Looking up was surreal in the way the sunlight danced on the school of bait and all the fish in the column.

Re: Video of our trips out for ARS and gags
I cannot believe how calm are those fish in the video... just incredible! I wouldn't be able to get so close to a fish here were I live.
I understand you are not allowed to shot groupers (?) right? |

Sweet vid Eric!

Judging by the way a couple of big amberjacks went flying down into the hole without slowing down, and didn't come back out, I'd bet there's a big cavern down there that probably connects to another hole not too far away. Why else would two AJs want to swim down there? They weren't being threatened. This hole had no discernible inflow or outflow of water. We talked about these on the board a year or two ago, and people seemed to call them springs but I don't recall anyone being sure how they originated. This one didn't really look like a sinkhole to me. It looked like something that at one time had water blowing out of it. |

Re: Video of our trips out for ARS and gags
The springs no longer discharge freshwater because we take too much freshwater before it can flow all the way offshore. That looks like a cool spot to explore. I would bring a good
Light and stick my head in there

Re: Video of our trips out for ARS and gags
I have dove it numerous times over the years, not really considered a " top secret" spot as you can also see fishing line in the vid @ 2:18, but none the less a nice spot for sure ! Great video BTW Eric...
