Re: Palm Beach Plane Wreck
That plane wreck should of been holding a few decent size fish. The JF seemed to be the only large fish. Maybe, somebody got there a day before you guys. Great vis and plenty of life on it.

Re: Palm Beach Plane Wreck
Buddy lost a hog, we are used to not seeing much.
There were a few muttons ahead of the wreck, but the wreck was not yet in view and I didn't want to be diverted too far off the projected intercept path and miss the plane. It was cool to do something different.

Re: Palm Beach Plane Wreck
Jim, that was truly a great video. Also, this just proves that we do not need to kill everything all the time to enjoy the dive. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Re: Palm Beach Plane Wreck
Little Background, N831PC.
WHILE ON AN OVER WATER FLIGHT, BOTH ENGINES LOST POWER & THE PILOT DITCHED THE AIRCRAFT AT SEA. BEFORE DITCHING, THE PILOT REPORTED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS OUT OF FUEL, THE ATC CONTROLLER CONTACTED A US COAST GUARD HELICOPTER THAT WAS ON HIS FREQUENCY & REQUESTED ASSISTANCE. THE HELICOPTER WAS FLOWN TO THE DITCHING AREA & THE DOWNED PERSONNEL WERE RESCUED. |

Seen threads before on dive site. Clearly see that the engines are Pratt PT6 turbine. http://www.spearboard.com/showthread.php?t=148790 |

Re: Palm Beach Plane Wreck
Wow I had forgotten that Tony had made such a thread on this. Pretty cool. I did not notice the engines/props away from the plane. Maybe I was not looking very hard?
