MAKO Spearguns Quick Ditch Belt Reel

The MAKO Quick Ditch Belt Reel is there when you need it and can be easily ditched in an emergency.

https://www.makospearguns.com/Quick-...el-p/mqdbr.htm

Used by experienced Spearos, the “MAKO Quick Ditch Belt Reel” acts as a back-up reel if your gun reel gets “spooled”. When you are about to be spooled, simply clip your gun to the “MAKO Quick Ditch Belt Reel” so you don’t lose your fish or your gun.

NOTE: Each MAKO Quick Ditch Belt Reel is equipped with a one handed “QUICK DITCH PULL TAB” so you can ditch your reel in an emergency.

NOTE: Each MAKO freedive weight belt also has a “Quick Ditch Buckle” by simply pulling on our belt.

FREE REPLACEMENT: If you ever have to ditch your MAKO WEIGHT BELT or your MAKO BELT REEL, I will replace it for you at no charge.

Thanks
dano

MAKO Spearguns Quick Ditch Belt Reel

I’m a big believer in belt reels (who ever sells them) but actually, you may soon find that having it clipped to the gun most of the time adds a nice benefit: you can let go of the gun on the surface if you need to. Could be to deal with some stuff on your float but in my case it just makes the breathe up even more relaxing.
If you have it clipped on the whole time and if you dive on reefs/bottom then make sure you use a reel line that floats - otherwise it will tangle around rocks.
