Re: Show Us Your Guns Thread "2nd Edition"

Finally got some time to post some pics.

From the left:
1- Old AB Biller with alumimum tube from the hardware store for a barrel, shaft my uncle made out of a stainless rod. Not many production guns in Kona, HI when I bought this in the 80's. Shitty gun but it has killed many a fish.

2- Riffe MT-5 set up for blue water. Front composite wings. Shoots a 3/8's shaft like a lazer. ** I shot the marlin in my avatar with this gun. You can see the muzzle and bands on the left of the frame. Picture was taken by Wayne Levin right at the moment of spear impact. One in a million chance.

3- Rob allen 130 with Pelagic reel

4- OMER Master America 115. Shoots Pinpoint dead-on everytime. I balasted and balanced this gun and tested it many times till the whole set up was perfect. My favorite gun for small fish < 30lbs.

5- Old 61" Wong reef. It required a lot of ballast in the form of lead as you can see in the pic. I put it all up front.

6- 57" Mid-Handle, enclosed track, gun I built. It looks a lot like an Alexander gun and it works great. Built out of African Mohagany and is solid as a rock. It shoots great and has removable slim line front wings.

Other picture is of a Hybrid that I'm finishing right now. It's on the rotisserie right now with its final coat almost dry. I'll put it in the ALL ABOUT GUNS section real soon.

Alohas... Tobin

Re: Show Us Your Guns Thread "2nd Edition"

My guns...

52.5" Wong Rear Handle Plus Mini Mag with Aimrite reel- This is what we call a bro doing another bro a solid. Enough said.

48" Paduk Mid Handle Herranen Gun with OMER Match 50 reel- Pictures do not do this gun justice. My new go to gun. This is the only gun I've shot 99% of the time since I got it. Handle to muzzle, it's the same length as a 75cm euro, but it's got the shaft from a 100cm in it. Magnets in the extra deep cut track, all polished parts, super hard epoxy finish that's taken it's share of falls and still looks new. Phil custom cut the panels for my gorilla hands, put the line release in the back of the gun where I like it, put in the reel mounts for the OMER reel, and adjusted the trigger to just where I wanted it. I've also got a shaft with a Carl Crupansky slip tip for, you know, when I need it.

80cm Rabitech Hunter- Old school. Added the track and shortened the band a skosh, Decent gun for NorCal on a clear day.

75cm OMER Cayman Aluminum- My other baby. I've taken lots of fish with this gun, and with the ergo handle on it, it's super comfortable and lazer accurate.
