Question about roller gun

I am looking at building a roller gun.. I am gonna start designing it. My question is for the 4 sets of rollers would it be better to use rollers from a pulley to add ballast or make ones out of delrin?

I figured using stainless ones from a pulley would mean i would need less lead. Probably a stupid question though. I'm leaning towards delrin.

Re: Question about roller gun

problem is that weight is gonna be in the nose so it is not a good spot for ballast.

Why I add lead all the time at the muzzle.

Re: Question about roller gun

well ok then but I think all the hardware will be heavy enough even using delrin. for example the neptonics guns have buckshot in the handle to counter the weight of the delrin rollers and metal brackets up at the muzzle.

no , there is shot in the handle so that the wide teak stock will sink . a gun isnt a see saw you cant counter a heavy muzzle by adding more lead somewhere else.

delrin it is lighter so it will spin up faster

Re: Question about roller gun

okey dokey neptonics gun feels great in the water except a tiny bit top heavy so toptuna you can just conclude whatever you want from that.

A pin and delrin pulleys is not a lot of weight. No offense brother but have you built one? I'm looking for advice from guys who have built them. No offense at all.

Re: Question about roller gun

no none taken. your only question was about weight and I assume the neptonics gun got you thinking about rollers. I have used one, not built one, and thats all my information is based on. As far as weight goes i'm the only one offering any feedback so far. The buck in the handle is so the gun will sink level and counter the weight in the muzzle, not just simply sink. Otherwise why not just slap it all on the front of the gun?
