Beating a dead horse (fender float)

Okay I haven't tested it yet but I filled a boat fender with a+b foam and sealed the hole with 5200. I had a couple gallons of foam laying around so I figure I would give it a shot. I'll post back with results.

Sweet. Would like to see some pics!

I use a DIY float at the moment that looks like this:

I sometimes attach my floatline to one end with tuna clip, and a stringer or bag on the other end depending if I'm gathering clams, snails, lobster etc. or shooting fish and don't want to carry them on my belt.

Depending on the density and type it should be good .

It needs to be flotation rated ab foam ,not open cell 2 part insulation foam . It should be 6# minimum and 8 # is best and good to around 200' without damage .

Now that is just saying that it won't crush, but what kind of buoyancy can one expect from a foam filled fender?

The displacement - minus the weight of the fender and and the foam
