Hi Guven, thank's for your experienced feed back. I got this information/link from a turkish spearo and friend in Turkey (Kemal), but I guess that when we discussed about regulation any ambiguity was not cleared up between fishing/ spearfishing.

Spearfishing in Corsica ?
A wonderfull island well known for scuba and spearfishing!!
Dentice (dentex, dentex) is the fish head of this Med Sea island.
Same reg as in France: over 16 year old, freediving only, insurance mandatory, at day only, fish sell forbiden... but there are specific corsica reg:
-Catch forbidden all the year: grouper, lobster.
-11 protected areas where spearfishing is regulated.

Hi Quetzal I'll be there 2 weeks in dec./jan (Roatan). During a trip 3 years ago I met some freediving spearos working in scuba diving center... Except the fact that spearfishing is no allowed in Nat/ Reg parks, I could not get more info about the reg. I supposed that billfish capture is not allowed, but I can't confirm. thank's for your feedback when you'll be back home.

Thanks Virgil, We're going to Roatan also. Do you have the name of the shop in Roatan that was spear friendly?

I remember meeting a diver/ spearo working in a diving center at West Bay Beach (West coast of Roatan) ,probably at the "Paradise Beach Club"... coral reef is exceptional++.

You should order "Honduras' Bay Islands" Diving&snorkeling. Lonely planet publications.
In my opinion one of the best Roatan/ Barabareta/ Utila guide.
