Early June Trip - South Carolina
A video from a 3-day commercial trip out of Murrels Inlet . Mostly all gags, a few scamp and misc fish. Pole speared a Tautog..I didn't even know they come this far south. Also got to see my first Sand Tiger.. A curious baby of about 4.5 ft long. There were a few on the one wreck.
Visibility was "not good"..tough shooting video. Hopefully it is not too redundant. https://youtu.be/w2z9UCAeocU

Re: Early June Trip - South Carolina
I was testing a carbon fiber pole spear for Dano on this trip. Seemed to work really well.
He said he is going to be releasing it in just a few weeks.

Looks like a great trip. Nice save with the pole spear on the gag that got off.

Re: Early June Trip - South Carolina
Thanks Tony,!!! I should also say the video is not representative of our relative catch ratios
I would never have my camera on for your good stringers

Re: Early June Trip - South Carolina
Tony gets good stringers? We're talking about lionfish right?

Re: Early June Trip - South Carolina
Nope, there were very few lionfish taken on that trip. He had a few stringers that were too heavy for me to easily lift over the gunnel alone (and we were not shooting jacks).

Re: Early June Trip - South Carolina
I know.. I'm just busting chops. I spent some great years commercial shooting with Tony.. love the man. He's a genuinely good human being.. and I'm proud to call him my friend. I'd love to make a trip with him.. if he can fit my suitcase in his forepeak.
