Drama/Bickering/Attack/Bashing Posts--Please read

I'm intent on keeping the CA forum focused on "Talk here about spearfishing on California's Pacific Coast, and post those reports and photos!"

We seem to go through this convulsion every now and then, and the result is always the same ugliness.

Many spearos have PM'ed or called me about the petty bickering and personal attacks directed at other spearos among the CA spearing community. They are sick of it. They want it to end.

I see no reason or benefit for it either.

So expect posts that either expressly or impliedly attack another spearboarder to be deleted or removed.

While the rules may sound drastic, it's time to get Spearboard CA forum back on track with spearfishing and away from angry, personally-motivated, and petty posts.

On a related topic, the crude sexual profanity and the gay bashing are getting out of hand lately. I'm tired of getting complaint PMs from members.

I/the mods take gay harassment in the same light as asian/black/white/latino/southern boys/yankee bashing. In other words, it makes work for us and needless to say, it makes this unpaid, volunteer job a little less pleasant. Which makes for unhappy mods.

Go fix your guns, or post reports on trips that you didn't have a chance to get to this summer. Ease up on the profanity and gay bashing.

Update: Posts/threads that are, on balance, more drama than spearing report/discussion (per mod discretion) will be moved to CA Off Topic or California Drama Department sub-forum (password = DRAMA). I'm intent on keeping the main CA forum uncluttered.
