Was out at Vetrans Reef on Tuesday and ran 5 miles north in 40" of water. Did not Dive, vis looked to be about 5'. The wind had the water pretty churned up.

Bayport: 20' - 30' = 15' - 20' of vis. 40' - 50' of water = 0' - 2' of vis.

Re: Current Vis - Tampa Bay Region (Homosassa to Sarasota)

Went out of New pass Friday. 250 18 mi. in 70 feet. Had a good 40'. moved out to 80'. Clear on the top 60. Maybe 10' on the bottom 20'. Came in to 50' had 10' on the bottom- barely shootable. Lots of big gags seen in 70' Probably 25 at one spot. Funny how you don't shoot any and you can see the whole herd.

Re: Current Vis - Tampa Bay Region (Homosassa to Sarasota)

Vis was 5' tops in 25' off of venice. Headed close to the beach and there was decent vis in 10-15 ft at the concrete culverts. Ended the day with a few mangroves and a hog

Went out to New Pass and got a mangrove but vis was bad. Any idea when it will clear up around Sarasota?
