Stainless muzzle and rubber tear
Hi ,
I am planning to modify this stainless steel muzzle (similar to the Abellan model). The rubber keeps tearing, even though the stainless surface is already very smooth. I will drill a slot just before the top screws of the muzzle to see how that affects performance. Additionally, I will use an epoxy mixed with carbon fiber powder to coat the new modification ,does anyone have the same issues ? |

Re: Stainless muzzle and rubber tear
I have no rubber tearing problem with my Abellan. I'm using 14mm small ID bands.
Before you drill away try to correlate the breakage location of the rubber with the point of contact between the rubber and the muzzle or the stock. There must be an indication of rubber wear prior to breakage. Could it be the rubber quality? |

Thank you for your response! The rubber I'm using is the Scarlet from Cressi, similar to the one used for Abellan. I've just drilled a shallow slot, and I’ll test it out soon. I'll keep you updated on the results. |
