Out of John’s Pass 3/15/24

Did some diving in 85, 70 and 55 fsw. 65-66 degrees. Viz 20-30’. Some spots had a lot of gags of nice size. Had an unwanted interested player on last dive. https://youtu.be/_HV024XlmQw?feature=shared

Thanks for the video and trip report. I'm waiting for the water to warm up a little more.

Handled very calmly David. What size powerhead? Have never had to detonate mine, have you?

Thanks. Yes, unfortunately way more sharks to deal with over the past 3 years, so relatively used to it now and breathing stays about the same. I carry .223

Well done David, I think you handled that shark like a true pro. When it comes to dealing with aggressive sharks I have always preached that you should remain calm, have a plan, and don’t hesitate to execute the plan. Sometimes that plan involves non lethal force and sometimes than plan necessitates lethal force. Either way, you need a plan and you need to have the mental discipline to execute it when necessary.

Thanks Kevin. Most of the smart stuff I do underwater I learned from you and Dan. Very fortunate to have had outstanding mentorship from elite leaders in the field. Still working on it. Plenty of areas to improve and inefficiencies to shed.
