DIY Floatline/Plugs etc.
I've been absent in the DIY section for a while due to circumstances in life, but am back. If you have any questions regarding the build feel free to shoot me a pm or reply below. Hopefully I'll be able to upload some more DIY videos to my youtube channel this summer.
Here are some of my latest creations using recycled material: 17-4 Stainless Plugs for a DIY 3/8" Bluewater floatline     DIY Slip Tip (test build)

Looking good! Pretty sure you could sell a few of those plugs to some guys here in Spearboard.
I must say that when Ï made my floatline, intended solely for the purpose of dragging my floater with me, no bluewater hunting, I didn't install plugs of any short. I just filled the first 20cm or so with silicone and a piece of dyneema (to reinforce the end), made a loop, tied it and covered the joint with a piece of adhesive shrink tubing. Had I known about those plugs... I might have used them! |
