Spearfishing Tournament - Virginia Beach
1st annual Virginia Beach Spearfishing tournament coming up in about a month. August 5th. "Captain's" meeting will be the evening before on August 4th at Chesapeake Bay Dive Center at Hilltop in Virginia Beach. Weigh-in and awards will be the same day as the tournament. As this is the first, we are keeping things simple to work out the kinks and make sure we all have fun. Another goal here is to bring together the spearo community in and around Virginia Beach. There are 5 fish categories, all available inside the Chesapeake Bay. Details and registration can be found at www.affinityspear.fish. As we are only a month away, we are looking to get a head count for the event so please register soon. If you have questions, don't hesitate to direct message me and we'll work it out. Looking forward to meeting more spearos.

So far we have 8 registered with about a dozen others 'interested'. 2 weeks out and we hope to get a better read by the end of this week. This is going to happen no matter what. Should be fun.
