Handmade take down double roller spearguns
Just chanced on these interesting take down inverted rollerguns from Bulgaria. They look pretty good and have been built with quality components.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/225854144645 https://www.ebay.com/itm/225854137505 I don't know anything else about them, but it is interesting to see some homemade underwater weapons of this type. The green banded gun is a composite band rollergun as the top deck has bands running over wide muzzle rollers when cocked to shoot. The carbon fiber gun is a cable rollergun as it has narrow muzzle rollers and a rear mounted band battery. When cocked to shoot cables run on the top deck. When guns use sub or side pulleys you always see a wide band battery as the bands are half the length they should be, but that is because the gun body is limited in the space that bands can sit on the gun body. Through deck wrapping bands allow more real estate so bands don't have the guts stretched out of them if they were short. The only downside is re-banding the gun requires a band set to be made up that matches the original 'band map'. Last edited by popgun pete; 04-04-2024 at 06:54 AM. Reason: more info |
