Need Help on Boat Inspector in Baton rouge/New Orleans

I'm looking at buying a used boat from a guy in Baton rouge. The hull is a 2000 Sportcraft 25 Sport Cat Center console. My understanding is that the SeaCat hull design was bought in the 90's by some guys in Perry, FL and then sold under the name SportCraft. They are now out of business so there is no warranty on the hull. I have read good things about the hull design but there are some questions about the workmanship/craftmanship used by Sportcraft. I would like to get it inspected by someone qualified, but I can't find anyone who does this. If anyone knows anyone in South Louisiana who does this, please pass along their contact information.

Thanks!

Cool Re: Need Help on Boat Inspector in Baton rouge/New Orleans

Does the boat you are looking at have 150 2stroke Merc's on it? I looked at one in BR last year, and I would think that there are not that many in BR.

Just Curious,

Ben

yep, sure does. do you remember the owner's name, or where you looked at it? I got the inspection back today and everything looks good. We are probably going to buy it...just need to find a place to store it!
