RIFFE Knife????? WTH?

Hi I just looked at a few Riffe knives at my local dealer and all of then were dull like butter knives. WTH?
Riffe claims that they can cut stainless cable? Is this BS? Seems like the only thing they are good for is stabbing things?

I would expect a sharp blade for $80.

Does any one make a sharp medium size dive knife with a stilleto point?

Thanks but that knife is a bit small. I'm looking for a larger knife. I already carry the Wenoka Titanium.

No knife can cut cable effectively. Cable is hard enough to cut with emt scissors.

I don't know if Riffe knives have changed, but many years ago, I did cut 3/32" cable, under water, with the serrated side of a Riffe knife. This was not a canned experience or a demonstration. It was a real-world unrehearsed event, and I'm very glad the knife worked.

I have a very large aqua lung dive
Knife. I beat the crap out of it and it keeps on givin. Take it to the sharpening stone here and there.

TRUTH!!!!!! If an 80lb little asian girl can completely curl the blade of a knife while cutting fish then it is useless. They look cool tho

Get a sharpening stone or use a grinding stone and sharpen it. There are different types of sharp. A surgical scalpel is sharp as 5 microns but wont stay sharp very long. An cleaver isnt very sharp but has much higher durability. If you want to change the edge just do it. Riffe used an angle that they decided was a good cross between durability and sharpness. Mine works. No complaints.

Yah thats a pricey knife. I remember looking at one. I think $80 was the cheapest I ended up finding online at random websites. But amazon has them for $87.
