I like to be able to deploy the marker a little deeper and earlier, so with more string the marker gets to the surface sooner.

As for the wait to get picked up. My buddy had the surface float and went up before me. I knew he was going and I continued to dive knowing they would not know exactly where I was.

They were a little slow in finding me, but whose fault is that?


I think they got a little casual and let the boat be carried by the wind, rather than take a heading from where the first diver came up. Not a big deal, luckily they saw my dive light.
