Re: Broken Mako :(

All gear breaks. If you go over to the gun section you will even see tons of threads on different brands of guns that have issues, even high end custom guns have issues thus most provide a warranty.

If there is a brand out there that never has failures please let me know, it just doesn't happen and thats why there is warranty. Mako has good gear and good service, period.

Re: Broken Mako :(

P.S. All the gear listed below I've had for over 3 years, some of it ive had for a lot longer, except the Gil 130. I had the reel in question for 6 months. Right out of the box (Screws and not fitting) there was an issue.

What’s that mean? Most of the time (I heard phone calls and orders are good) it’s the replacement, repair to damaged equipment.

Now you take that for what it means.

I have a couple guns and gear:
Rob allen 100: Not one hiccup
Gil 57: Not one hiccup
Gil 130: Not one hiccup
Rabi 90: Not one hiccup till I was schooled by a fish and lost it.
Cressi fins: Not one hiccup
Gary fisher blades: Not one hiccup
Sporasub foot pockets: Not one hiccup
neptonics float line: Not one hiccup
Rob allen reel on 130: Not one hiccup
*Mako reel on rob allen (Didnt fit my gun, had to buy longer ss screws, bound up twice, rusted, cut my line once, etc, etc, etc.) Why didnt I call Mako, because I didnt want another one. Its $$ I ate.

Why has the rest lasted? You can figure it out!

I know people are going to lite this up because of their gear not breaking or the deals they've been given so blah, blah, blah.

(Dont P.M me about it, I dont want to hear it)

Edit: All gear should be given a proper review and this is my first hand experience.

You read my mind... Rhymes with LammerLead.

Lammerlead...i not 100% sure who that is. lol.
I did have a handle break, line release break, loading butt break, and generally a bad time with something similar to a lammerlead. That is a derail; however, here we are interested in mako.

Re: Broken Mako :(

I had a rabitech take a crap on me. It would always jam.

Regardless my brother is in Iraq right now and we are planning a trip. Dano is lending him any gear he need for the trip or FREE since he is in the military. Not sure of anyone else doing that. Are you guys? That is why I will be buying mako gear.

Dano messaged me right away and will send me a replacement as soon as I set it up.. I'm glad I listened to you guys when I was purchasing a speargun. Mako's service really is excellent!
