Flying with Gear
Hey guy
Heading out to Kauai next week just seeing if anyone has ideas how to pack a 110 picasso and short Riffe? I normally use a 4 inch wide pvc tube for the Riffe and just take off the handle but the 110 is much bigger and I don't see a way to take the handle off... any ideas would be appreciated. |

Re: Flying with Gear
Mako makes a decent gun bag, I've used it twice to take gear to Hawaii without issue.
https://makospearguns.com/speargun-b...argun-roll-up/ The bad news is that Kauai diving is the worst of all the islands... |

Re: Flying with Gear
If you don't travel much, you can get a cheap snowboard bag from Amazon for 20-30$. It won't last much, but 4-5 trips for sure. Then, you buy another one if needed.

Re: Flying with Gear
in my opinion, buying a bag for your guns is whack!!!
I just got back from a trip to Puerto Vallarta and both of my buddies received their sportbes with dented and with a crack in each. Had it been a bag, the damage would have been to their guns and not the protective tubes. I live in Downey, you are welcome to come borrow mine- few forks use it more than a couple times per year so there is no need to buy one unless you are traveling more often.

Thanks!
