Re: California Dive Boats -- the legend of Radon (pictures)
This thread is in dire need of resuscitation...! That said, here's some photos of my project for the last three plus years: working with Anderson Custom Boats to completely re-do one of the four Greenoughs that were originally built to serve as surf skiffs on the lower Mexico surf charter vessel 'Royal Pelagic'. The hull was gutted down to the divinycell and this was a complete build from the stringers on up. Anderson's did their usual genius job on it, and it's the Greenough 21 2.0 that we were aiming for-

One of them is down in the Ventura-Oxnard area, and is in a slip. From what I've seen, it's being kept in damn near perfect condition, and the guy fishes it hard. The other one went to a guy that gutted it back down to the hull, and then homebuilt it up into his Channel Islands cruiser. That boat is now for sale and can be found on CL as the owner has a new Radon 24 x 8 project going.

What size Suzuki did you go with on it? And what’s the deck material? Looks cool. Beautiful ride. Hoping to run into you in SB one of these days…

Re: California Dive Boats -- the legend of Radon (pictures)
I went with a 200 Suzuki from Jeff Hull, and couldn't be more pleased. It's more h.p. than the boat needs but it still gets over 3.0 nmpg at cruise (20 knots...). The deck material is from SeaDek, and Ed Anderson did the templating and install, which was key. It cleans up effectively, is soft on the feet, and keeps the deck cool on any hot day, which is a huge improvement.

Killer! Love that you like to run your boats at Naci too. Go get some great waves in that thing!
