Feeding the National Guard in Port Charlotte
Me and some buddies are going down this Sunday, October 9, to feed about 250 National Guardsmen/women in Port Charlotte. They are the "tip of the spear" for relief and recovery efforts post-hurricane Ian, and usually get forgotten in the shuffle, so we though why not go down there with some good, hot food to boost morale.
If ANYONE has any extra food or supplies, fish to fry, pork to smoke, wings to cook, chips or snacks or desserts, or can volunteer to help out, please contact me via email at ericfield@hotmail.com Even a small donation will help us buy more supplies and food. We originally thought we'd have more donations of fish but that fell through, so right now at least our concentration is on pulled pork bbq, venison chili, burgers, and wings. Thank you. Eric PS - for those in the area or who could drive to it, we will be setting up at 1000 at the following address: 1120 Centennial Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33953 |
