North County Conditions Report "Perma-Thread"

All of us can pretty easily call the La Jolla surf info hotline for dive visibility and get a general idea of how La Jolla down to mission will be in reference to current conditions. However, North County is always a mystery. This thread is dedicated to current conditions from spearos who have already splashed or have reconoitered the water.

We can all just subscribe to this thread and have one long continuous running thread about our local conditions, much like the Santa Barbara conditions thread.

Again, this is not a dive report thread, but a visibility, swell, wind, etc. thread. That should keep this thread obscure enough that lurkers cant poach off of the results of our dives. We can give this a try and see how it goes for us North County folk.

South Carlsbad today- Waves up vis down

I almost went out today. I thought for sure That the visibility would be good. It looks pretty clear from the beach.

Checked vis from shore today around Carlsbad. winds around 10mph, choppy surf booming @ around 6', 7am-11am vis was around 5-6' decreasing to 1-3' as winds/current picked up.

I also got DFG'ed while fishing inshore (quite rare). Fist bumped after showing him the license and got some tips for rod and line fishing.
