Visibility - North County San Diego?

Just wondering what the viz is like in North SD county today. Really wanna get out this weekend, but not quite sure if I should go just to sit in sand soup.

I wouldn't recommend it. I surfed Cardiff today and it was head high with brownish water. Probably any spot in North County would have heavy surge and poor visibility. Forecast calls for small surf this week, so it could clear up later in the week.

I was at Torrey, and it wasn't worth getting wet. Poor viz, and wind chop. Good day to tie some new bands and clean the guns.

Swamis looked a mess, lots of water moving.

Ended up diving Tamarack, just a little south of the jettis actually. Viz was iffy, some spots were good, others not so much. Didn't see much in the way of fish, maybe it was just because of where we were, pretty much an underwater sand dune for half of the dive. Crossed the jettis to go north directly across from Tamarack, dove down to see a couple 9" corbina just hangin out by a rock. Shot down directly on one and missed, then they both spooked off out of my viz. I'd say on average about 5-6' viz, not a great dive, but not one of my worst.
