"TANKS" opinion?
While were on the subject,,, What do you's think about filling the tanks in water or dry ?? Some shops are adamant about not filling in water and claim it the worst thing that could ever be done ! Others (in the Keys ) put um in a tank of water and presto,, your on your way in 15 min. with a dam good fill ...
I think some shops just don't want the trouble and slop ...

Re: "TANKS" opinion?
Filling in water serves two purposes.
It keeps the tanks cooler so they can be filled faster and they don't drop off as they cool so you get a full tank without having to overshoot. Also, a 300 gallon tank of water will absorb a lot of energy. If a tank suffers catastrophic failure in a tank it will still be a real bad day but it could save on fatalities. I fill mine dry but I'm never in a hurry. |
