Great day

Got the invite to dive yesterday June 25 with my good buddy Capt Ty. We have not been able to coordinate schedules since 2018, so was really looking forward to it. Every time I get out with Ty he puts me on the fishes!

Dive one, shot one- I see and stone a Carbo. Only my third Carbo. 27" and 11#. Pick up 2 hogs as well. Viz was 60' in 99 foot of water. Bit of a thermo. Went from 83 degrees to 77 degrees at about 80'.

Picked up 2 more hogs next dive and some mangos. Then got a gag and some other nice mangos. Was able to close out my Hog and mango limit on my last dive.

Ty shot two real nice gags and Matt had nailed a nice gag and Hog and mango.

Ended up with a big lion, 5 gags, Carbo, 7 hogs, 12 mango. Lot of bait, turtles dolphins. We didn't see any sharks. It was a really nice day.

Thanks Ty.

Good stuff Dave! It’s nice to put a different species in the box.

Re: Great day

Thanks for posting! and with respect to the snapper video...I thought I was the only spearfisherman who targets snappers and has absolutely HUGE hands!

Re: Great day

Excellent, Dave. I was expecting you to literally catch the fish with a scuba tank, but a steel shaft seems to work well.

Thanks for sharing.
