Furuno GP 30-34 or a 1600-1800 series to emulate loran?

If you do. The email came from Furuno last month. They will be changing something in March and it won't work anymore. This mostly affects old school commercial guys. But you heard it here first.

Good luck
Rick

GP 32s still work just fine.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Anyone who relies solely on emulation will be singing the blues soon. Good luck.

At Furuno school today. The instructors say I'm wrong.

I know I said it years ago but here it is copy and pasted from an email. There is also a list of parts you may need to keep some of your legacy devices working.

I never had any luck with the Loran conversion ..

I had a GP-30 and a GP-35

but never found them to be even close to accurate and the offset seemed to vary depending on a general area in the gulf where I was

Will these units still work?
