That's cool except the fact that hookah is illegal for bugs.

Setting the potential legal ramifications aside for a second, that just gives me a weird feeling that is tough to describe. Like doping in the Tour de France or steroids in baseball. If I need that thing to get bugs, I should probably find another hobby, right?

[quote=campbellc0321;1839688]What?

Ah, yeah. You use hookah to get bugs and you're proud of yourself and stoked on it?

Sorry but I think that's bs and weak sauce...

Probably how Carrasco rolls

You can only scuba or freedive. There's loopholes, but there's already too many people taking advantage of them to post it in a public forum.

I'll tell you this though....if anybody seems to have a knack for grabbing a surplus of trophy bugs, there's probably something fishy going on...at least that's the case with every consistent trophy bug diver I've heard of. Just think about it for a sec; how do big bugs get big? They hide way back in labyrinths of caves, or in the backs of cave systems...and they rarely come out. How do you get to them? You either risk your life freedive-spelunking, or you cheat.

And yup, I'd be willing to bet carassco does it too.

This thread is about a hookah set up. Not about trophy lobster diving.

Re: Dominate bug season. Rad Hookaset up on SB C List

I used a hookah in Mexico the first time I ever dove when I was about 14. It was pretty rad I thought. Why would it be illegal to use it for lobster season? Its basically the same as scuba but without a tank on your back right?

Any idea why? I don't really see how using a hookah would be beneficial compared to scuba or freediving.
