I know im chiming in late... but i have heard and seen this... even tried them and they are good... if you beat the fish with a bat after you gut it, that should crush up all the bones... you then make "croquetas" out of it.... i've had lady fish this way... but have never had tarpon, only seen it done... but then again, im a crazy cuban... we eat anything! LOL.... enjoy
