I used the Tin Man design as a template for my version. Of course I called him and asked for permission to use his design and he agreed to allow me to use it. Tim Man’s original design had a half moon shape piece for both the front and rear clip. These clips were very tight and held the shaft in place with simple snap tension. However, I found that the plastic would slowly stretch out over time if the shaft was left in the clips between trips. As a result of this, I decided that the clips would not be a good long term solution, However, just one of them would be a great front holder for my existing rear shaft holder tension piece. When I designed the mold for it I opened of the ID of the hole so the clip would not apply pressure to the shaft but simply hold it against the side of the gun. This allowed the rear piece to apply the tension that actually hold the shaft in place.
