Dived outside Boston on Wednesday. Visibility was decent 10 feet. Took togs, saw lots of small striped bass.

In the water Sunday in Jamestown. Water temp 57, vis 10' maybe a bit more. Plenty of togs around, some decent ones mixed in with all the shorts. Saw a couple of schoolie bass and some scup too.

Water temperature in the Boston harbor was 'balmy' 50 degrees back on Wednesday. I don't think that's normal. Saw plenty of bass schoolies, only a few togs and some small fluke or flounder - could not tell.

Dove the Cohasset rocks on Monday on the incoming tide. Water was fine. Visibility was 10-15 feet. Saw tog, stripers, and some small fluke. I’m sure there was more, but it was my first dive this year and my mask wouldn’t seal properly. I spent a three hour dive looking through a quarter size clear spot in my lens that was constantly moving around all day.

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread

Yesterday Jamestown Hull Cove- water 72F, saw about a dozen stripers which were mostly too small and a couple too big for the slot. Managed a couple of nice togs. Viz was 4-5ft. Water is milky and lots of macro plankton.

Today Newport Baily's Beach area- viz was 6-7ft. One Tautog and one trigger taken.

I am not seeing many large tautog in their usual August haunts. Wondering if it's water temp?

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread

Any word on the vis? I’m up visiting family for the next month, so I’ve got to get my dad out spearing.

Beavertail today- all sorts of undersize fish at 20-40 feet. One tautog, one trigger and a bluefish made it into the cooler. Vis went from <6 to about 10 with tide shift.
