Roller gun two stage help
I'm currently in the process of trying to convert my Pathos 75 to a roller and my end goal is to have a two stage roller for the added power
My gun is aluminum so I was thinking about the possibility of screwing in a sharkfin line anchor as a hook. Something like this: http://www.neptonicsystems.com/speargun-line-anchor.php So I was wondering if anybody has done this before or if anybody has a better idea |

Re: Roller gun two stage help
Ermes sub also has some accessories for roller and has the hook clamp.
http://www.ermes-sub.net/-componenti-roller.html I am not so sure I would want to drill in a non foam filled tube though ... chances are it will eventually flood. I am thinking about the same exact problem and I think a better solution is to have the drill in an area outside the barrel "O" ring. Depending on the gun you have things could be different, but in my case I have a few cm of space after the "O" ring where the barrel connects to the muzzle. |

Re: Roller gun two stage help
Do not drill in the tube. It will eventually fail and leak. All you need to do is screw a hook on the reel base and use a line as your stage. I posted this before right here. Extremely easy and effective.

Sounds good Petros. Do you sell the hooks or know of how to get them?
And how would you rig and wrap the mono with the rubbers on the bottom? |

Re: Roller gun two stage help
TinMan made a really nice compound roller gun from a modified Mako. Some real good ideas.
