Re: Gopro C4 mount prototype
New mount arrived and it's solid, really solid! I think this is the final version...
You can compare in the pics with the previous... it used more then double the material since it's much more reinforced. Will send PM to the ones that already showed interest. PM if interested. thanks Last edited by marginatus; 07-29-2013 at 02:52 PM. |

Re: Gopro C4 mount prototype
Here's some footage that shows the mount in action (not a very polished editing...)
You can see how it looks on the; mounting and releasing it; loading; some action footage; releasing it during filming so i wouldn't have the gun in frame (done at surface and depth) Hope it gives a clear idea... let me know http://vimeo.com/71768036 Last edited by marginatus; 08-06-2013 at 07:54 AM. |

Re: Gopro C4 mount prototype
Hey there!! I been reading your research and inventions for the c4 gopro mount and I really like them. Do you have a final reinforced product yet? If so would sell me one? I've found couple metal ones between $10 to $20 but they are kind of ugly, unlike yours. Please let me know.
Thank you, Roni. |

Re: Gopro C4 mount prototype
Hi Roni,
It's in it's 5th generation... with two versions: with right next to gun mount and with an arm to put the camera more to the side of the gun (I and some friends prefer it next to the gun but some people prefer it more to the side). this new version has the following updates: - 5mm wall thickness to make it less bulk (still very strong) - All edges are rounded and smooth (not the case with previous ones) - there's a taper around the bottom screw hole to make it less protuberant for trigger finger - mounting plate is 1 cm to the back making it easier to load bands of pins/fins more to the back - more esthetically appealing with a curved profile that matches the guns lines better and has less protuberant edges. - the model with the extending arm can be made in custom size (the one in the picture puts the camera's case side at 3,5cm from the gun) and has an hexagonal cutout with ribs to minimize vertical water drag and add rigidity to the arm. I now provide button head (lowest profile) SS screws cut to size. I have the shorter one available to ship right away. the longer arm one would have to be ordered. If still interested, send me a PM and we'll take care of it Cheers |

Re: Gopro C4 mount prototype
Printing material is white but it can be dyed or painted with a permanent marker, spray painting will also work but care needs to be taken not to add thickness on the inside as tolerances are small.
I sent you an email |

Re: Gopro C4 mount prototype
I'm might be a bit late on this, but if they are still available I would like to purchase one from you. I have a mount that I ordered from a German company, but it uses a screw to hold the camera in place. That's how I lost my last camera! Looks like you resolved that issue. Anyway, if any are available please PM me.

Re: Gopro C4 mount prototype
I just wanted to follow up and let people know that I received both mounts without any problems and that Marginatus was very easy to do business with. Highly recommended!
