My new Blue water canon!!
Here are a few pics of my new Bluwater gun built by my friend and dive club member Brent (sbh). I waited about six months for this gun and it was worth every minute. Brent is an excellent woodworker/gun builder and as anal as you get in terms of near perfection. The gun is 60" all teak, enclosed track, 5/16 Ray Odor shaft (thanks Ray ) Mori slip tip, alexander handle, and kitto mechanism, 5/8" bands. It is designed with merlo's guns in mind. This bad boy weighs about 12 pounds and has nearly no recoil, excellent balance under water and deadly accurate. We did some target practice in the pool today and froze our asses off . Thanks again Brent, you have made me a very happy spearo!!

3 wraps, I think we measured 23 feet of shooting line. Hawaiian breakaway system is temporary.

Nice gun. It is fun to see how people use parts from other makers. It become more than just a speargun.

Re: My new Blue water canon!!
Hector,
That gun is definitley one to be proud of. Six months is about average when you are building a masterpiece like that. I hope you can show us some big fish pics soon. Golfito at the end of June
