Cedros island contacts
Does anyone have any non-web contacts for Cedros Island for room to rent and pongas? I've hit all the internet listed companies. Of the 2 co's I've found, ones is book solid through Sept. the other is a bit pricy($1800 pp for 3 nights and 2 days on a boat, not including travel).
I would have expected $100 to $150 a night and $200 to $250 pp for a ponga. On the high end I would have been ok with $950. Is the rest island tax?? Any recommendations are appreciated. - cvv |

Re: Cedros island contacts
I was down there 5 weeks ago and the island was closed to all outside people. I was headed down there last week and got a text half way there (from pangeros that live there) that because the pandemic is raging so hard in Cabo and La Paz they shut down all of Baja Sur for the next 15 days at least.
I'd get solid info before booking or trying to dive that area.

Re: Cedros island contacts
I went with 2 people a few weeks ago. Some of the local fishermen in Euginia will let you pay to play, just ask them, YRMV. $150 cash each got us a full day ride out and back in a panga. Shot YT at Cedros in the early morning and then surfed pumping Natividad in the afternoon. Camped in the village and did the same the next day before making our way north and doing the same from Punta Baja to San Jeronimo (wsb and HUGE calicos). Bring your own water, food, cash and everything else. Honestly I am almost over the sea lions at Cedros. Jeronimo wasn't nearly as bad.

I was quoted this by Toro, who is online, but this includes airfare. theres other places you can dive from the mainland and get big yellows for way cheaper. let me know if you find a better deal for cedros though!
. . . At this moment we only have dates available in September and October to do spearfishing in cedros !! it is an incredible experience !! very clear water and big fish !! Our packages start from 1690 dlls for 4 days (2.5 days of fishing) with everything included !! Plane flights accommodation pangas captains Prose of the fish !! packaging and refrigeration meals (very good) translator and attention for you !! I am the only spearo on the island !! I know where the big fish are 😁 |

I did a trip there a few years ago with Cedro's Outdoor Adventures. It was absolutely amazing. The place, the food, the panga, the captain, the fish. Excellent. I'd go back again if you need a an extra person.
