Iowa People??

I'm from IL, I might come over to do some spearing in Iowa over the summer, if you need a dive buddy, although i might need to borrow a gun, I'm leaving mine in RI

I live in Cedar Rapids and would love to meet up with someone else who is more knowledgable about spear fishing (especially about locations in Iowa). Do any of you guys still live and dive in Iowa? What lakes do you go to?

Still live and dive here...spots are few and far between. Mainly hunt private waters. IGLs are great with many places to slay big carp...some central lakes can be good e er couple years with vis also

Private water are all..well , private. Public spots are in northern iowa...IGLs....or big blue

I realize that this is like 12 years later, but Im a spearo living in Iowa (albeit temporarily). My diving gear is currently split between my folks' place in New England and in San Diego, but I think Im going to bring some stuff out to try diving in Lake Michigan. Any experience with that?

Id also be super down to try anything closer, I live in Des Moines.
