time to change my anchor line
So I've been using the same anchor line for 20 years (i dive quite a bit), and it's still going good but thinking of changing. I don't know what it was made of.
I tried the 100 feet line from home depot because it looked like my old line and it had a pretty yellow color! Lasted five dives. Not ideal. So what do you recommend?

Re: time to change my anchor line
I've been using something identical to the Hammerhead ice line. http://hammerheadwebstore.com/standard-ice-line/
I bought it in a 500 ft roll and use it for my dive buoy line and my kayak anchor line. Been using it a couple years now and it's been holding up great. |

Re: time to change my anchor line
I should probably qualify my answer, how long is your anchor line and how much of it do you typically use? I have 600 feet of line, and so the last 300 feet is all that is consistently used, give or take, ( say your diving in 100 feet water with a scope of 3:1 only 300 feet of the 600 is used) so thus the other half of the line is in PREMO New condition, and reversing it is like new line.

I love this rope: https://www.cwcglobal.com/rope-cordage/blue-steel
It is well priced and lasts forever!
