Ended up diving the arch rock area. Got there around slack tide and conditions looked great but turned milky as the tide went out. 15' max vis and surgey, still had fun though. I haven't shore dove that area in many years so it was a nice change of pace.

Next time you head out anywhere around the area drop down something here. Thanks for the report hopefully we have better conditions soon

It looks like conditions are going to get worse before they get better but I will definitely post up here next time I head that way.

Hey! I have been spearing a few times. I have all my own gear, coming down to Huntington Beach this weekend and hoping to go out with someone April 16 Saturday. I would like to catch a halibut but any experience would be great.

Dove the arch rock area today 4pm with1-2ft surf, 2 knt wind, incoming tide 7ish. Water still pretty milky but a good 15' vis. Dunno if anybody has been round lately but this spot is def overfished now booooooo plenty o perches for practice tho and some pretty thick n meaty skates along the middle sand bar if y'all know how to cook em. Shoot me a PM if you need a skate recipe, ran it as a special the other day people seemed to enjoy it

Vis was stellar +20ft!! But the big difference is that the kelp stalks are finally back. Saw some other spearos in the area seems this place is getting more popular

Anyone know where the kelp is in crystal cove right now? I know Abalone Point is by the reserve, but Reef Point looks like it has more kelp and structure
