Mares Californian Pneumatic
I found this little guy in my grandfather's house today and it seems to be in a pretty good condition. I took a look at it to see if the mechanism works properly and after spraying some WD-40 on the trigger and safety button it seems to be working well.
I want to prepare it for use and give it to my brother who is now 11 years old so he can practice with it. There is something on the handle though that i have no idea what it does. If you see the pictures, i put a red circle around it so you guys know what im talking about. Anyone knows what that thing is? (please see pictures)

Re: Mares Californian Pneumatic
That is the power adjuster. In its current position, its on 'full power' slide it forward and it will section off the rear portion of the tank and will shoot the spear at 'low' power

Re: Mares Californian Pneumatic
consider getting a 9/32 spear for it, better then a 5/16 shaft for speed and range. That will be a good little gun. I respect you trying to get your little brother into the sport, good on you.
